Nap at airport or on plane?

Hey all, so looking for some advice. We are flying to Cyprus next week and our flight is at 13.55pm. Our 2 year old still has one nap a day and will usually go down at about 12pm. She can get really grumpy if she is tired. However it would be amazing if she could sleep some of way on the plane but can I keep her awake until take off at 2pm ish? Or should I just let her nap at the airport? Obviously going on holiday the routine is not going to be followed so strictly and she will be having later nights etc. Would love to know what others would do. Tia x

I'd imagine the whole novelty of the airport will keep her awake especially with checking in and all the faff of getting through security, try see how she gets on and get her napping on the plane, will break it up a bit, but if she will nap anywhere then just see how she goes on the day, any routine goes out the window lol x

Agree with above
If she's anything like my boy, there will be so much going on around her, people to watch, people chatting to her ect she won't want to nap incase she misses something so will probs stay awake then sleep on the plane, any routine goes out the window on holiday đŸ€Ł don't stress yourself too much just go with the flow, have a good holiday 😁

I had this and me and my boyfriend both disagreed with what to do! I said let him nap in the pram airport because he might not fall asleep on the plane with him being big and not used to sleeping on us and planes can hurt their ears

My boyfriend wanted him to sleep on the plane so it was more relaxing
On the way there, he waited for him to go asleep on the plane and of course he didn’t! He was no tired and cranky! So was a bit of a nightmare flight

On the way back I got my own way and he napped in the airport
we got to relax having a Burger King and he was an angel child on the plane tested after his nap 😄

So i vote airport nap

Swaddle Transition

Hey moms! đŸ€

My name is Gabi, and I’m a first-time mom. My baby will be 7 weeks old tomorrow, and recently I’ve noticed that when he’s swaddled, he keeps escaping and wakes up with one or sometimes both arms out.

I did a little research and saw a lot of recommendations for the Love to Dream swaddle. I understand the concept, but I’m not sure I love it for my baby. I also came across a couple of other transitional swaddles on Amazon—the Omni Swaddle Sack and the 4-Way Houdini-Proof Swaddle Sack—but now I’m second-guessing what to choose.

Before swaddling, we were co-sleeping, and he actually slept really well on his belly. Even now, he seems most comfortable napping on his belly.

I’d love to hear your experiences or recommendations—what worked for your babies during this transition?

Would you take your baby put of the car seat in traffic

We were driving home from pur vacation and at the end our baby was seriously crying. We were stuck in traffic, so i took the baby out of the car seat (i was sitting in the back next to it) and put it back when we were moving faster again. Would you bave done that? Have you been in a similar situation before?

Co-sleeping

Have tried to put baby in the next to me but he is refusing. He is currently sleeping in the najell sleep carrier between me and my husband. Any advice? Co-sleeping is making me anxious!

Baby monitors

Does anyone have any recommendations for a monitor that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg but has a good reach? We live in a relatively small bungalow but the monitor we have is constantly ‘waiting for connection’ literally two rooms away
