Family name controversy?? Or totally ok??

In my family we have 5 generations of Joseph’s. My brother, if he has a son at some point, does not want to name his child Joseph like himself, my dad etc.
my husband has a nephew called Joe. He is 19.
If our baby is a boy we would like to call him Joe. Is that ok or weird?
If we were to have a girl we really wanted to call her Amelia. It was our one and only girls name. My brother has had a baby girl and called her Amelia.
Would it be weird if we named our baby, if it’s a girl, Millie as a second name?
I’m a bit worried we will offend someone 🤦🏻‍♀️

Ur baby, ur choice. U and ur husband should go with whatever name u both love, don't be swayed by others opinions and then regret not using ur choice.
Everyone hated the name I picked for my son, so much so I just floated it around and kept trying to find something else I liked as much. I didn't find another name i loved and I ended up going with my fave name and I am so glad I did. Everyone else has come around/got used to it, tbh once he was born and I said this is his name, no one really commented anything negative, like they had when I was pregnant, it just is what it is.

Someone in your family might be offended or upset about your choices, but it's your baby. You can name your children whatever you and your husband like.

I would just have an open discussion with your family members and see their thoughts!

I would say just talk to your family so they can see where you’re coming from but do what YOU want to do! I just had this issue with not giving my son our family last name and honestly, it’s your baby, your choice! I understand the value to the family name but it’s what will make you and your partner happy!

You should name your girl Josephine Amelia

Don’t ask us, ask them if they will be mad or not. At the end of the day it’s up to you but your choice might be easier if you know how they feel

I am too picking names, and I try to put my feet in my kids shoes. Will they experience any issues from having the same name as the cousin? Will it cause any unwanted competition, etc? You know your family better than anyone. I hope you are able to find the answer that works best for you

I think it's weird to match the names so much in the family unless it was like your husband's name or yours passed down. But if that's how your family is and it doesn't offend them do whatever you love

I love the family tradition of continuing the Joseph name, and I second the idea of Josephine Amelia if it is a girl 😊

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
