Hi everyone! I was wondering what type of baby carriers people were planning on getting/could recommend? I'm looking at the babybjorn but would love to know other people's opinions :)

You live around where I grew up!
I used a sling for the first few months but now my 4 month old is an escape artist and will wiggle and fling himself until the is free 😅 but not just have one off Amazon

We have the baby bjorn and ergo baby omni breeze 360 x

My area (and I think most areas) do sling libraries where you can take your baby and try out different slings and carriers etc to see which one you prefer. Then you can rent them or try them out for a bit and then buy it if you really like it. I'm planning on doing that one the baby is here

@Claire the best thing you can do is add weight to it to get a proper feel for it. I used a weighted doll xx

I should do that really, I was just unsure as I'm bigger if it would go round me so thought I would test it out. 😂

We had the babybjorn mini with our previous baby and loved it, when we upgraded to the Ergo baby he hayed it. So this time we got the Babybjorn Move that is very similar to the Mini but lasts longer and has better support for our backs. i am happy with the purchase and we bought it at a place call the hut online for £95! (When it retails £130)

I’ve gone for a ergo baby carrier reduced from £229.90 down to £174.90 (£55 off!)

I have a Tula half buckle this time. I used a stretchy wrap to start with last time but didn’t love it so switched to a Tula full buckle but you can’t use those from newborn unless you put an insert in x

Baby wearing uk is a great FB group that has loads of info and is a very helpful group, will do fit checks when baby arrives too 😊

We’ve got the ergo baby 360 for walks and I have a cuddlebug sling for around the house

Bambino Baby in Petersfield is run by Roamy, a baby wearing consultant. She sells slings/carriers and also runs a sling library. I went in with a friend who is also pregnant and she spent ages with us showing us different ones and how to use them with a newborn weighted doll, listening to what we liked/disliked about each and suggesting others based on our preferences. I’d really recommend getting yours from there as it made all the difference - the ones I thought I would like before trying them were actually less comfortable (and more expensive!) than the one I ended up choosing after her help. My friend preferred a different one to me so it is an individual thing.

what a good idea! That's not far from me so I'll definitely look into it

@Vanessa omg I've just realised you were at the nct class earlier with me!

I got the carifit. Not seen many people talk about it but it comes with an app that has workouts you can do with the baby in it. You can also throw it in the wash x
