My hcg started out on a really great trend, its doubling time was 1.09 days (increased 3.5x over 2 days. Then over the course of a week and a half afterwards the average doubling time plummeted to 3.14 days and at 6 weeks I was only around 10000.
Anyone go through this and continue with a healthy full term pregnancy? We did IVF and genetic testing on the embryo so at least know we don’t have a chromosomal abnormality that can lead to miscarriage. But I know other genetic issues are still fair game.
I’m just so scared because I’ve had a miscarriage like this before (though the genetic testing on that tissue came up chromosomally abnormal, trisomy 11).

“During the first four to six weeks of pregnancy, hCG levels double every two days. After that, it may take three to four days to double until the sixth week.”

No need to worry I guess and after 5-6 weeks you should go for scans and check for heartbeats instead of tracking hcg levels.
I thought that meant to the first x weeks after finding out you’re pregnant. So at 6 weeks of pregnancy, your gestational age would be 8 weeks.

No, all pregnancy counts are gestational age. Everyone finds out at different times so the standard is counting from LMP when referring to X weeks of pregnancy.

Sometimes you will see more explanations, such as 4-5 weeks of pregnancy = the usual time most women find out that they are pregnant because of a missed period
