Baby arrived unplanned homebirth!!

Baby girl (no name yet) arrived 25.08.23 (my due date) took me a while to put this on here due to the drama around labour and me getting my head around it.

Had a sweep on 23rd had some kind of contraction pains and losing loads of my mucus plug. Then on the 24th i woke up and all the contraction pains stopped but carried on losing mucus plug though.

I woke up at 4.30 on the 25th with sickness and Diarrhoea and i knew this was the time because this is how my other daughters labour started. I thought i had time because my daughter came kind of quickly 5 and half hours but no by 5.15 i was in complete agony i called my mum to collect my older daughter by time she arrived at around 5.45 i was on the dining room floor. I had called for an ambulance and the operator was talking me through breathing etc just before 6 her head came out and the next push after she had arrived. She roughly came out at 6.05 me and my mum were in such shock we had no idea exact time. Paramedics turned up not long after 🤯

just came out while doing laundry love it 😂 yes my first daughter is very head strong and she was the 5 hour one. So give me strength for this little miss. Yes rapid labour it when from just a couple contractions not being too painful to full force in such a short time.

Small head reported following 20 week scan

Has anyone else had it flagged that their baby is in the bottom 5th percentile for head size?

They said everything was fine whilst we were in the scan and then I got a phone call the next day saying that it’s on the small side and we’re being referred to a paediatric specialist at St George’s. Has anyone else had this and how did things go??

Would you bring 9 week old to a family party of 35+ people?

These are also people who will want to pass the baby around and get a turn to hold him. He just got his 2 month shots two days ago

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Hi guys so I’m 25 weeks today and I haven’t felt the baby kick at all yet at the scans she’s moving constantly that it’s hard to get the right measurements my first pregnancy was cryptic so I just want suggestions from one worried mother
