Reflux struggles

Has anyone else’s baby got reflux? I’m really struggling with seeing her be sick, she never projectile vomits so always think it’s not that bad? What has everyone used that’s helped? We’ve been given gaviscon from drs but don’t really find it helping and always feed her upright, pace feed, make sure to burp etc. I’m reluctant to try the reflux formula given it takes forever to make when you have a hungry baby and feel it would end up taking over! Unless you can make with prep machine? Feeling so overwhelmed and hate seeing her upset 😢

So sorry you’re having this struggle too! I am using a prep machine to make anti reflux formula, it’s made a huge difference to my baby’s sick! He doesn’t bring anything up but it does make him struggle to poo every now and then, so I just give him a dose of lactulose when needed xx

We had the same issue!
Unfortunately we do use the reflux milk.
We use the prep machine but the milk still has to stand for 7minutes . Which is a pain! Especially at night time!
But it really helps his reflux , he’s hardly sick anymore. He projectile vomits very occasionally now.
But only thing is he’s now constipated from it! It’s so hard to know what to do!
So reflux milk had helped but then caused another issue ☹️❤️xx

We got prescribed omeprazole instead from a paediatric consultant!

My son is 7 weeks I asked about carobel as I had it with my daughter and it helped but was given gaviscon instead don't really feel like it's helping, he seems to be in pain when feeding and it's a fight to get him to feed dispite him crying for his milk he has a small amount and then will go red and start screaming and refuse to take his feed I have to try settle him and keep trying him with it then he'll take the rest of the feed no problem, HV coming tomorrow so I'm going to speak to her about it xx

which reflux milk do you use? Xx

We have tried reflux milk, gaviscon and omeprazole. So far nothing has worked for more than a couple of hours 🥺

We were prescribed carobel, it thickens the milk which helps it stay down

cow and gate, was considering swapping to HIPP but don’t want to upset his system more than it already is haha xx

My baby is with reflux and we are on Aptamil Anti reflux, it does helped her a lot, after few feeds she was completely different l, we were on Kendamil before. Gaviscon is thickening the mild to make it stay down, so the same as anti reflux milk. She is still suffering and we are holding her up 30min after every feed, she can’t stay in her pram etc, but at least she is not bringing food up. Good luck z

ahh that’s so good to hear you can use prep machine with it! I’ve got our 6 week check with the drs on Wednesday so will maybe try the formula and pray that works!! Xx

My baby suffered with reflux and I used a prep machine but since I switched to anti reflux it has helped her loads x

Sleeping bag

8 week old in sleeping bag for first time as big enough! Do you feed your child in the night whilst in the sleeping bag or taken them out, feed then transfer back to sleeping bag before putting down?

Not drinking

I’m going crazy. Baby born at 2.26kg. Slow to put on weight. This last week hasn’t put on any. Been trying to feed him at night and he’s not interested at all. Fast asleep. During day he will have 5 minute gulps and that’s it. He don’t cry for milk. I’ve got to keep offering to him. I try to offer it every hour but I don’t know what I’m doing. HV said nutrition comes after 5 minutes so I should pump first and then give him. I find it so hard. I tried to pump one boob nothing came. The other abit came. Tried giving him express he’s not interested in that too. Sometimes he will go for a longer a feed but not long at all. He’s 4 months and is currently 5.46kg. I have no family or friend support here and wish I had a cook, cleaner and nanny to help with everything so I can concentrate on the little one. I don’t know what’s wrong with him but I’m loosing it. It doesn’t help that my also stressed generally about my relationship and life circumstances. Any advice that will work. Any comfort you can give. I’m fed up. Is this regression - not feeding. He’s fast fast asleep. I’ve been trying to push the nipple in but that mouth is closed shut. I took some clothes off. Changed his nappy but he’s still asleep. Please help

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

My little one is struggling with sleep

Hey! I'm in need of some advice please girls! My little boy is 20 months turns 21 months in 2 half weeks. He use to sleep through the night now he is waking up every single night in the early morning, I've had to transition him to a toodler bed as he kept climbing out his cot. Just need some advice on what I can do to help him get back in to a sleep pattern?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism
