At what age did you intentionally drop night feeds? My baby is 4 months and wakes every 1-4 hours, sometimes for comfort, sometimes hunger, and I feed her back to sleep. I want to try to get her sleeping longer and not so dependent on me but obviously want to feed her if she’s actually hungry. I’m planning to transition her into her own room at 5/6 months in the hope she might sleep longer but anticipate I’ll still be up as often. So what age did you stop feeding through the night or cut down the feeds?

Waited for my little girl to naturally night wean at 11.5 months! It was tough but worth it x

I’ve started feeding my son bottles at night and he’s sleeping 8-10 hours at night. He’s 3 months. I wake up around 3/4am to pump because I produce the most milk at night. I reckon he’s sleeping that long cos his stomach is full and the milk directly from my breast wasn’t enough to sustain him through the night. I’m also getting my husband to do the evening feeds so he can get used to putting our son to bed and not have him too dependent on me for falling asleep x

12 months and while they have some nights where they sleep through, they wake 1-2 times a night on average each. On nights where they wake with bad teething they could wake 3 times each and I nurse them back to sleep each time.

My toddler night weaned herself at about 14 months. Still feeding her in the day though at 2. Intentional mother led night weaning isn't recommended until 18 months when a baby has some understanding. Night weaning doesn't mean less wake ups. Wake ups will continue if your baby is going through a leap, had a change in their routine, ill or teething etc. I'm EBF my new baby and he sleeps so much better than my toddler. It's less about feeds and more about them.
