5 weeks scan

I went for an emergency scan today I have been told I am 5 weeks and not the 8 weeks we all previously thought. They say they could see the yoke sack but not a baby. Does this sound right for a 5 week pregnancy. They have rebooked a scan for 2 weeks time to see if the pregnancy is still viable. I’m so scared and confused

There's not much to see at 5 weeks. Sounds right.
Generally, it's calculated based on the last period, but if you have irregular cycles, it's hard to know.

At our 8 week scan first pregnancy it was also mostly a yolk sack with cardiac activity. It didn’t really look like a baby til like 12wks

I also just had this happen, I was re sent for more bloodwork and have to repeat ultrasound in a couple weeks. Dr said It was because I was earlier then I thought so that’s why nothing really showed up other then the sac. Sending positive vibes your way

Yes that’s normal! My first pregnancy I had bleeding so went for a scan at about 4 weeks and they couldn’t see anything at all! Went back at about 6 weeks and saw a little circle and beating heart ❤️ good luck I bet you’re so excited 🥰

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

normal or infected?

5 weeks post c section , i went at the beginning of the week as my wound had opened completely different area to what’s leaking. was told it didn’t look infected. anyone know if this is normal coming off it, it’s only a little amount at a time

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Hi guys so I’m 25 weeks today and I haven’t felt the baby kick at all yet at the scans she’s moving constantly that it’s hard to get the right measurements my first pregnancy was cryptic so I just want suggestions from one worried mother

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃
