Off my food

I am nearly 7 weeks and I just don’t seem to know what I want to eat - the thought of certain foods just puts me off eating anything - I’m having more noodles or just like rice .. hubby goes mental because he said it’s not enough but I just get the feeling I’m totally off food at the minute. Il eat fruit to make sure I’m getting something good into my system … anyone else feel like this? Any tips on what to have or take to work?

I have this mixed with awful nausea and sickness. Unfortunately I haven’t got any tips and was hoping someone else would haha. I’ve been really struggling the last few days, just want it too stop 😪

Feel exactly the same I’m 7 weeks and I usually eat so healthy but I am off everything I usually eat and just craving toast with butter and cheese. Have no idea how I’m supposed to pass nutrients to my baby when I have no appetite and feel queezy just thinking of food. Hoping this won’t last !

So when I went to my early scan they said the baby gets nutrients off the sac until week 8 so I’m not too worried but I don’t want to fall into that trap and not eat healthy, I want to be as healthy as possible but it’s hard especially when every food you think about you just turn your nose up at it 😂

I was thinking maybe soups? And some bread .. but soups in this heat 🫣😭

I am now 10 weeks and my nausea and queasiness has not yet passed. I'm eating anything soft. So mash and gravy/ice cream/soups/tuna mayo sandwiches etc lol! It is starting to get easier now seeing as after 9/10 weeks the hcg level is at its highest! I'm not actually being sick, so baba will still be getting its nutrients from me. Just keep going - we got this! 🫶🏻

First trimester is all about survival. Calories and hydration are more important than nutrition. If you’re keeping anything down it’s a win. If it’s nausea have you tried asking for medication? If it’s food aversions I have no tips. The nurse told me to eat little and often. I find granola with nuts and fruit easy to pick at and keep down. Soup is also a good one. Also if it is nausea try fizzy (preferably tonic) does wonders x

so I do try to eat little and often, I have cereal or toast in the morning, snack on fruit, maybe have noodles for lunch and then try have soup or something in the evening. It’s really hard it’s not so much feeling sick it’s definitely food aversions ☹️ and trust me I’m a foodie! So it’s just very frustrating but il try my best to get the calorie intake in xx

I’m 8 weeks and in the exact same boat! I’ve been put off chicken and most meats and all I want to eat is either bread & butter or boiled rice 🥲 try not to worry too much, keep drinking lots of water and maybe try some smoothies?

Avatar

so I’m going to try like soup and crusty bread see if that helps but I will defo try smoothies that’s a shout actually! I’m trying to drink like 2 litres of water a day to keep me hydrated too xx

I'm finding the same too, I'm so hungry all the time like no matter what I don't feel full, but I also don't find any food appealing. But then I feel sick if I don't eat anything 🙄 I'm managing small amounts of carbs, yoghurt drinks and cereal bars. Little and often, and folic acid after tea/before bed to try and avoid it making me sick 🤞🏻 xx

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

How many words

Just a quick gauge of how many words your little ones are saying at this age. I heard by 15 months it should be 5 words, are most around this mark ?
