Glucose test is NOT BAD

For anyone who has an upcoming glucose test, I just want to calm your nerves. I was so anxious because I read a lot of horror stories, but I just did it this morning and it was totally fine and easy. The drink is a very small amount, doesn’t come close to filling a glass. It doesn’t taste bad at all. The wait is annoying, but I never felt sick or anything.

You got this!

I truly believe it’s different for everyone as well as every pregnancy.

I didn’t mind the drink with my first pregnancy. But with this pregnancy it made me gag and made me feel super sickly. Headache, stomach ache, shaky feeling. I literally never want to be pregnant again after this experience with the glucose test 😭😅

oh no I’m so sorry! Okay so maybe I just got lucky then.

definitely luck 😂 I didn’t think the drink was bad with my first pregnancy with my little boy at all. But something about these girls makes me super sensitive to sweets.

Well, I’m having a boy so maybe that’s why haha

The drink it is gross, I don’t think it’s horrendous though. I know it makes me gag when I have to drink the glucose but in the end it’s not like I drank a whole bin of it lol

I had to do a 3 hour test today, and it’s 100 grams of glucose and that drink was gross. The regular 50g for the 1 hour was fine. But both give me headaches

Avatar

totally agree! I’m doing the 3 hour test today and the 100 g drink is nasty it’s so much thicker. It’s making me feel gross but the 1 hour test drink wasn’t that bad

Is this little red bit on my section scar normal? It’s not oozing anything, doesn’t hurt but it’s the only bit on my scar like it so just curious! (19 days PP)
Thank you in advance! 🥰

Help

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

Is this braxton hicks or early labour pains?

Anyone else felt like this?

Hi, I’m 4 months postpartum, little one sleeps through the night and is formula fed, the last week I’ve felt extremely tired and very hungry! Just wondered if anyone else has felt this way/experienced this?

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?
