My daughters 2 month is coming up and I was wondering what to expect so I’m not too surprised. What type of vaccines do they do?

My baby got two shots (one in each thigh) and then the final “vaccine” was a drink that they fed her from a little plastic vial. I’d recommend to bring something to soothe her right after the vaccine. I nursed right after and that calmed her down. She slept for most of the day after that!

Usual measurements and checkup and shots as Marissa mentioned. pneumococcal, DTaP, Hib, and polio vaccines (combined in two shots) and the rotavirus vaccine (given orally). They'll also get the second hepatitis B now if they didn't get it at the 1-month checkup

Everything @Marissa said! I'll be honest, for me, it was a very traumatic experience. I knew my baby would cry but she let out screams I have never heard before. My husband had to console me AND our daughter. She cried louder, I probably cried harder lol. But yeah definitely bring something to soothe afterwards. She thankfully didn't have any weird side effects, and I gave her one dose of Tylenol right before bed to help make her more comfortable at bedtime. After that though she didn't need anything. Her legs were sore for a couple of days.

We just got back from it. He cried so much after the 2 shots, literal tears in his eyes. It was so sad it was cute lol. His sad faces were priceless.

We had our 2 month check up today and he got 3 shots and the rotavirus liquid. He did not receive the second hep b shot at his one month appointment so that got tacked on to today. As what everyone else said be prepared for your baby ti scream. Just console them, use paci if you have one and they should stop within 5 minutes.
Once home make sure to have some Tylenol infant medicine laying around as your baby may have a fever due to vaccines. Expect baby to be nice and tired and just want all the loves and cuddles in the world. At the appointment they will also check measurements as everyone said and see if there are any concerns

We had that visit weeks ago ( on 08/21, coincidentally exactly two months old 🥰, he was born 06/21). He got measured, we talked over things, the np answered some questions I had, then someone came in with the little vial and the shots. He had the oral vaccine first, then they jabbed his chubby thighs .. and put band aids on them ( Scooby Doo ones 😊). That was a late morning appointment. Early that afternoon I had a chiropractor appointment . After my chiropractor appointment , it was me, the dogs and little buddy for a bit ( we live with others currently... hubby was at work, one of the others was also at work, the other other person dropped me off at the house to go to an appointment for themselves) . He was pretty fussy . I held him a lot. He was also rather sleepy. He was asleep when I posed him on the months blanket late that afternoon. He did get a slight fever, but very mild. The fussiness did seem to linger for a few days

( we don't have any infant Tylenol, so we couldn't offer any . The np said the number itself would be a concern, moreso if he has a fever three days later would be a concern, as that would likely be some other virus attacking his little body. )

@Elizabeth lol my girl got Scooby-Doo band-aids too!
