Bubba won’t be put down during the day

Please tell me I’m not alone in this! My little girl is nearly 8-weeks old and she just wants to be held the whole time, as soon as I put her down she cries and doesn’t stop (I’ve got a 4-year old so it’s not always possible to pick her up straight away). I’ve tried a baby bjorn carrier, the pushchair, bouncers, activity centres, the only place she’ll sometimes settle is on her changing mat whilst looking at flowers! At night she’ll do 3-hour stints in her cot, and will nap in a cot for her morning naps. She has CMPA and we have just started gaviscon to see if that improves her fussiness. Someone recommended Colic Calm drops. Does anyone have any advice or anything that worked for their fussy babies at this stage!? My arms are killing and I’m exhausted, especially in this heat!!

I had this with my little girl until 6 weeks. Then I bought a sleepyhead for head to sleep in during the day for naps. And it's been the only way really to get her to sleep during the day

This has been happening with my 8 week old twins! Will literally only sleep during the day if it’s on me and with two it’s nearly impossible. I can barely put them down at all . Hoping it’s just a phase!

Are you exclusively breastfeeding or is your little girl on formula? What are you doing for CMPA? Does she have rashes on her skin?

I struggle to put my 8 week old down in the day, sometimes he wakes straight up and sometimes I get 10-30 minutes but he sleeps from 10pm-6am no problem through the night xx

My LG is 8 weeks and I’m having the same thing, she wasn’t great at daytime naps before (she would always go down easier and sleep for longer if it was a contact nap) but this last week she will scream if I put her down, like she’s screaming already before her body hits the Moses basket. According to wonder weeks app this is a fussy phase and goes on through some of week 9 too because they’re developing rapidly. No advice just saying I’m there with you!

she’s combi fed- breast is more for comfort than sustenance. She won’t drink big quantities- averages 70ml every 3 hours but can’t push it to 4 hours as she just gets so upset. She isn’t putting on as much as she should be so GP said to monitor her and her her weighed weekly. She was on Neocate but started refusing to drink it so went back to Aptamil Pepti and her stomach seems to be tolerating it. She has red bumpy acne rash on her face and neck but I think this is more baby acne? On normal formula she just had 10+ diarrhoea nappies a day and just poured out of her, poor girl!

My baby was exactly the same at 8 weeks, we are now at 10 weeks and she is slowly starting to go down for naps a bit more now so it does get better!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Pumping advise

FTM to a 2 week old! I’m breastfeeding and then giving one formula bottle last in the evening before bed. I want to start expressing milk to give me some breathing room and also allow my partner to be more involved in feeding. I’m finding the idea of introducing pumping into my day quite overwhelming though. I don’t want to take milk away from my baby by pumping if he needs it during the day when being breastfeed.

Can anyone advise how I start pumping and when to do it? Thank you!

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.
