Hey you will need to go to the gp. The doctor prescribed me a strong version of canesten (not available to buy over the counter ) and an internal gel . If the itchiness is real bad I would highly suggest ice packs. You will feel in heaven xx
and this won’t affect the baby at all?, and thank you so much definitely giving them a call first thing tomorrow xx

@Anna Rita you can get it online and over the counter x

I'm pretty sure if i remember right you can use canesten, but it's advised to use the cream not the pessary. But I'm pretty sure you can just pop to a pharmacist and speak to the consultant and they'll be able to suggest the best thing (might even do it as a prescription so you get it free xx

You can use canasten cream and pessaries (basically anything that's clotrimazole) but not oral tablets. Your GP or maternity unit will prescribe it if you don't want to pay for it xx
Thank you so much everyone xx

no the canesten that they have prescribed me it’s so much stronger than the one over the counter.

@Anna Rita there is only 1% or 2% cream. Both availble OTC.

The pessary or cream is usually prescribed. Although you can buy OTC, they are not licensed in pregnancy unless prescribed. So best to speak to GP.

yes that’s now I remember. It wasn’t about the strength but snot that the pharmacist didn’t want to give it to me as I was pregnant. Therefore once the doctor prescribed it to me, i collected them with no issue.
