My three year old, Max, needs friends. Today I was at Starbucks and another boy joined my table and pulled out his car and started playing with my son. When the other boy left, Max cried. I felt so awful that I haven't tried harder to find him friends.
I haven't had luck finding playmates his age that he connects with. The kids he plays with at my apartment complex are different ages or temperaments he doesn't take to.
Max is obsessed with hot wheels, and all sports. He is shy and gentle, but a daredevil. He has a speech delay. He can talk and even read but doesn't seem to want to talk. (He is in speech therapy).
We walk over to Rockwood Market Hall almost everyday. I don't drive currently so that limits my meetup locations.

We live nearby! Unfortunately, my son is 12, and my baby girl is 6 weeks. But I just want to say that you're a great mom for doing this. 🥰
I did the same for my son, I even invited a neighbor's kid to join us to go to Disneyland coz they're the same age as my oldest, all expense paid by us. Everything was already paid for then the mom canceled last minute (i didn't get a refund for the Disneyland ticket). It just made me realize, the things we do for our kids 😄

That is so nice of you. I went on vacation with my bff growing up. Those are treasured core memories.
