How far along are you ? My belly also gets really hard throughout the day and hardens even more when I’m laying down due to bloating but is squishy in the morning ! Definitely call your ob if you feel anything is off though

I’m 30 weeks and this is my first pregnancy so I just can’t tell if this isn’t normal

could definitely just be that baby is growing I’m 30 weeks as well and my stomach is definitely feeling more harder and fuller than it use too it doesn’t hurt to check with your ob though , they’ll have the right answers for you !!

Thank you!! I will do

if it’s not hard 100% of the time then I’d say it’s normal. Mine moves around a lot and sometimes is super hard on one side but then after a while (it could be minutes or it could be hours) it goes soft and the hard part moves somewhere else in the belly. It depends on the baby’s movements and constant repositioning. As the baby grows, he/she has less room to move and it will feel harder for longer and in more places than one

Does having a hard belly indicate something?

Avatar

yeah it’s just been hard for a couple hours now and made me feel a little anxious! Thank you for your reply you have eased my anxiety a bit I messaged my OB to confirm just thought it was strange 🤷‍♀️

I’m not sure I just noticed mine was rather hard today for some reason that’s why I was asking!

The belly can go firm for several reasons I've found. It would freak me out at first too. I'm 30 weeks. My belly can get firm now depending on the baby's position in my stomach. It has felt firm due to mini contractions in the past(that's accompanied by cramps.) It also gets firm after I have an orgasm because your uterus contracts a bit when that happens. The further along I get the firmer my belly feels at times

Yep it’s normal. Mines being doing that since 29 weeks at night. They told us at the birthing class it’s part of the process of your uterus practicing for birth.

So it’s most likely Braxton hicks. They can start at 20 weeks and should not be painful at all. Maybe just uncomfortable. I get them all the time and my belly goes hard after I empty my bladder sometimes as well

It happens to me all the time... I noticed that it gets hard especially when I'm tired or make efforts... my ob told me that it's normal and it could also be Brixton Hicks. Very uncomfortable though :(

Did my waters just break

Hey ladies,
I’m a FTM and I’m wondering whether this is a partial water break or not. I felt a small amount of warm liquid down below. It wasn’t a lot and didn’t soak my pants but it was clear and had a water consistency. Was enough for me to question it, I am after all 40+6. I did try smell it, but I used kitchen roll to clean it up so I don’t know if the smell was sweet or not as I smelt more kitchen roll than anything 🙄😂
Since nothing more has come out, wondering if it was just my vagina cleaning itself. I’ve tried the Kegel test but nothing so I’m really unsure. Obviously my fingers are crossed more does make an appearance.

Just want to sleep again! 🫩

I wake up around 8.30am, have some cereal, meditate/pray for a bit, make a cuppa and then by 10am I’m tired again and could easily nap. My iron levels have been checked and were fine. Is it just me or is anyone else feeling like this? I’m currently 35 weeks pregnant 👀

Possible blood clot on the lung /VQ scan

Has anyone had a VQ scan for possible blood clots. As I need to have to have one and concerned due to the radiation and possible risk of baby having childhood cancer.

Anyone else still feeling really good

If I hadn’t of had a scan I wouldn’t believe I was pregnant. I was tired with sore boobs and this is still the case but no where near as much. I feel so good. I am incredibly bloated though but I can deal with that. My first pregnancy I suffered with dizziness really bad so this is a pleasant change.

Review at 36 weeks

Has anyone had An anesthesia review at 36 weeks?
What is this for as I never had this with my first?
I am being scanned every 3 weeks as my first was small and now my second is measuring small.
