So concerned! We had a physio appointment but it was online and was just told to wait another month. Not very reassuring

My son isn't walking properly yet, he has cancer and gets close and then his treatment stops him!
He can do a few now and the but not properly. There are some great accounts on Instagram of paediatric physios and they give info and tips to help encourage walking, I'll pop them at the bottom to see if they help you =)
What can your little one do movement wise?

I found these accounts really helped us with supporting our son's strength and mobility!

My lb isn't walking yet. He is very delayed in majority of aspects. But his sibling has is non verbal autism and learning development delay. It took her to atleast 20 months to walk.

My little boy isn’t walking yet either, he cruises and will walk with a walker and walk supported but not on his own!

Our little boy didn't walk until 18 1/2 months. I just kept encouraging him constantly and one day he went for it. He has no issues with development etc, he just wasn't ready yet
Thanks everyone. My boy can stand up and cruise or walk with our support but like with any milestones it's just taking ages to reach it. 2 weeks ago he took few steps by himself and I thought he finally got there but since then nothing has happened. He is just not interested and when I see children of his age running around I worry he might have some delays.
I'm so sorry for your son, I really hope he recovers soon. I send you a big hug!

My little boy isn't walking independently either. He is slowly getting there. We saw a physio last week who thought he might be slightly hypermobile, but said I just need to keep encouraging him - she said she'd call me in two months, but I wasn't planning on taking any further action in the meantime.
What do you do to encourage him?

Any activity that encourages standing or holding his hand while walking, just getting him moving really.
