All I can advise is it takes time, it got explained to me that my little girl had to relearn how to latch and feed again. This heat doesn't help anything either my usually chill baby hasn't been this last 24 hours but she's starting leap 4 so likely to be a combination xx

Our baby had his tongue "untied" 3 weeks ago! The first couple of days were brutal, he was crying, didn't want to eat and didn't know what to do with his tongue. We gave him baby Tylenol the first day and that helped. He is still sticking his tongue out all the time trying to figure out what to do with it but he is eating way better now. You can get through this! It just takes time for them to heal❤️❤️❤️

I had my babies tongue tie cut at 4 weeks, she’s now 10 weeks. The first week was worse than ever and almost broke me. Laid back feeding position helped. It really does just take time. Some do see more instant improvement but 1-2 weeks is normal. Unfortunately for us it’s taken quite a few weeks as she’s also got a narrow, high bubble palate which causes similar issues but overall it has gotten slowly better. There unfortunately isn’t anything you can really do except to keep feeding with as much patience and support as possible and just know even though it’s a step back, it will come good again. Not sure how old your baby is but it can be tough when cut later as they have to unlearn how they were feeing and start again. Also you may of suffered with supply issues due to the tie so they may need to feee extra now and also the heat. All I can say is hang in there! I know it’s hard - you are doing great!
