Afternoon fussiness while breastfeeding

My baby (6 weeks) recently started being really fussy when I breastfeed her in the afternoon/evening. She will constantly pull away from the breast and cry even though I know she is hungry. Is anyone else experiencing this and do you have any tips for me?

My little girl when she's overtired, she seems to get frustrated. I bring her away, give her a dummy to calm down and she might have a 20 min snooze then we'll try again

@Jasmin I can't seem to calm her down enough to take a binky or snooze unfortunately. :( But I'll keep working on it to try. ;)

Maybe try feeding her while she’s settled just before the time she usually gets fussy (keep her as topped up as possible around that time) so she doesn’t have the chance to get too hungry/fussy

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

How many words

Just a quick gauge of how many words your little ones are saying at this age. I heard by 15 months it should be 5 words, are most around this mark ?
