C section vs. Induction

Has anybody had c section and induced natural labour before? I know both have pros and cons but which one was better for you?

I had both it was my induced labour that lead to me having a c section popped my waters at 3cm and turned into worst case scenario. Babies heart rate dropped, contractions were crushing her said left it any longer and she wouldn’t be here but was literally sign a piece of paper rushed into surgery.
My planned c section was an absolute dream so relaxed and the surgeons were calm so made it more of a comfortable experience

I had induction and ended up having c section after 18 hours of labor. Pain with induction was worse I could imagine

want method did they use, I had the hormone strip

Thank you so much ladies

hormone drip resulted in my baby being born to fast having to be resuscitated which caused a pneumothorax and an ICU stay... never again. I'm not against induction but that hormone drip is sooooo unnatural this was October last year. I'm point blank refusing it with this baby xx

I am actually against induction. If I will have to do it again I will go for c section rather than induction

they inserted something. I think tablets? Did work but baby got traversed at 9cm then doctor asked me if I will go for iv hormones baby might move but was exhausted with pain and asked for emergency c section

it’s horrible I dilated so slow, with my first three I dilated quite fast. Only got induced because my waters dropped from 4.2cm to 2.8cm and my plug hadn’t gone xx

after my experience I rather have a c section

you know your body better than any doctor, am happy you didn’t let they bully you it something that wouldn’t of worked for you

actually the doctor was shouting at me when I was crying and shouting with pain. I had worse experience and the midwife was a student she couldn't even insert catheter and kept blaming me. One of the horrible day. But soon as i got my baby safely in my arms it was beat feeling❤️

i would do the same

that’s disgusting, not your fault at all hun. Bet you glad to get out of there. It is everything just makes sense once your holding them 🩷

Avatar

yes and now I am worried it's going to be the same doctor again. But this time I am thinking to instruct them to have an experienced midwife during my birth plan. Hopefully they will listen to me

Avatar

I would specifically say you don’t want that doctor and explain what happened. It’s the scariest thing you go through at least you should feel comfortable and safe with you medical team. Fingers crossed for you 🩷

It was my pregnancy and had no idea and had no family in UK. Thank you for your kind words x

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲
