I have this every time myself or anyone picks up my baby! Terrifies me.
how do we make it stop?!

I still think that and it's my second 🙈 it's not as bad this time but I definitely see the danger still

I actually spoke to my GP about this when I went for a mental health appointment and she said it's normal, doesn't feel normal though 😅xx

I just rationalise it. I'm not going to drop her (I've got tendonitis so it blinking hurts to hold her). How often do you hear people have dropped babies... like never. So the actual chances of it happening is so slim.
Reduce the risk, so baby is warning clothes have fit. Doing good lifts. Wearing shoes that you don't trip up in.
Those sort of things.
Feel free to message me if you ever just want to chat and vent if it all gets a bit much xx

Definitely chat to your GP. It's so scary but know it's normal with the post partm hormones and instinct to protect your baby. I was having really intense thoughts about falling asleep with my baby in the bed and would be terrified holding my baby near heights. Medication and reminding myself the thoughts will pass and they don't have power over me have helped. Also opening up to other mums/family/friends. It's much more common that you would think. X
