I’m scared im not bonding with my newborn like I need to. I feel like everybody be holding my baby but me. I’m already scared to see him grow up unfortunately I b looking at my baby like omg be about to be big before I know it lol it makes me sad because he is so special. But I feel like I’m being bombarded with everybody and everything. I’m happy he receiving the love. And I hate I have to share him with his dad who tried not to claim him , thankfully he showed up for him when he was born but now I’m supposed to just act like none of his empty promises when it came to my son don’t matter 🫡 I just wanna fully enjoy these moments with my child.

Boundaries , love. Set them. This is your time. If you’re struggling to get the words out, type your feelings into goblin chat (google goblin tools) and it will help you create a perfect mass family text you can send out that lets everyone know “thanks but no thanks” or “here’s how you can truly help me as a post partum newborn mom” and give them ideas : bringing over food, helping with laundry, and if they want some cuddle time ( and ONLY if you are comfortable with it) only allow cuddling during your nap time or so you can shower and breathe.

As far as baby daddy goes, I hear you. Your feelings are valid and it will take time and action and consistency on his part to help those words go away. Do your best to breathe, let go, and observe. Also, gently remind baby daddy that part of supporting baby is being there for mom too. He can help with those aforementioned things; he can get his cuddle on while helping you get a break and sleep. Deep breaths mama, you’ve got this♥️
