Me. All the time. I’m 25 weeks, and sometimes, she will not stop moving, but sometimes, she’ll move maybe a few times throughout the whole day, it’s normal to not feel a lot of strong movement with an anterior placenta until even the beginning of the third trimester. It’s crazy. It worries me to at the beginning.

Some days he moves alot that I can feel, other days I feel like he isn't moving at all I just have to keep it in my head I may not feel it as much as someone with a posterior placenta... also are yall getting good ultrasounds? My ob said not to waste my money on a 3D ultrasound. But I really want one and want to know if it's worth it..

@Emily Bowen the one above was at 19 weeks at my OB... but I am a little nervous to get any 3D OR 4D ultrasounds because of my placenta... I feel like I'll probably set one up around 30 weeks... maybe even later... just to be safe!

@Sofia Callaci that's around the time frame I was thinking.. I just hope it's worth it they are so expensive 😩

@Emily Bowen literally SO expensive! But this is my first kid... so I told myself just go all out lol and then I'll know for the next one what to do! Aha

@Sofia Callaci same here! Lol everything I can do I'm doing! 😆

I have an anterior placenta and got the 3 or 4D images done at 26 weeks and they look great. I just started feeling more consistent kicking at 28 weeks.

thank you!

Yes absolutely!! It used to freak me out so much! It’s really normal though and they don’t establish noticeable sleep/wake patterns until 28 weeks where you can actually track frequency more reliably. My baby was sometimes really active some days and then hardly at all for a few. You can kind of help encourage movement by laying down, light exercise, playing music for them, eating something sweet etc. I’d do that to wake them up sometimes and make sure they were still okay.

I’m also 25 weeks with an anterior placenta and same! Sometimes she moves A TON and some days I’m like where are you!! We have one of those at home heart beat monitors so I use that when I’m feeling anxious, but also just try to imagine that she’s resting when I can’t feel her a lot and not get too anxious about it. I’ve been told that 30+ weeks with anterior you tend to feel a lot more, so just holding out till then! :)

I had my girl in May and stopped by the say I had an anterior placenta. At around 20 weeks I saw her kick, at 23 weeks I could feel her kick from the outside. Once I hit 30 weeks I felt her ALL the time to the point of thinking I didn’t have an anterior placenta. 😂

This would be my second pregnancy, I just started to feel him move and kick.. I’m 25 weeks will be 26 tomorrow

Definitely me!! I’ll be 25 weeks in 2 days and I feel her like crazy for like 3 days then barely for a couple days. It scares me when I can’t feel her but then randomly I’ll feel a little kick and feel better. I think it’s totally normal with an anterior placenta.

I didn’t feel anything at all until the end of 22/23 weeks. I’m 25 now and I feel occasional movements but it’s very light like a little jump or like a little bouncing ball in my stomach feeling. I honestly haven’t felt anything that feels like a kick. Baby has been fine at all my appointments and heartbeat has always been good so I’m trying not to worry about it to much

the 3d ultrasound pics my doctor did at my 20 week scan were terrible and look like an alien. I can’t even tell where/what the baby is and my husband has to point it out to me. I much prefer the 2d pics

literally my baby boy all the time I’m 28 weeks now and I have anterior placenta too , anytime I feel he’s been too quiet I just do some tricks that have worked for me.
- drinking a glass of orange juice
- eating or drinking something sweet
- laying down flat with my feet propped up higher than my heart
- run around a little and do some jumping jacks to get the heart rate up and then just sit still and put your hands on your tummy
My doctor also told me sometimes with anterior placenta you can’t feel them hard if you’re doing other things at the same time so best thing to do it go into a room with no distractions and just sit and feel your tummy and talk to the baby
