How did everyone get on with LO first bath? I'm going to do one today and just wandering if he'll like it or scream his head of the entire time.
Did anyone use product? I have kokoso products and it says they are suitable from birth but wandering if I should hold off on them anyway.

Get a washcloth wet with warm water and lay it on him during the bath, it will help him warm. You can use product if you'd like. It's also okay not to. He will either like the bath or hate it lol it's impossible to know. You've got this!

We're only doing plain water baths for now. Best advice I can give is do it when he's awake and happy, mine screamed the first time which I'm pretty sure is because we woke him up to do it, he's loved every one since š

Phoebe is two weeks old and hasn't had a bath yet her cord only fell off the other night but still has a scab should i wait for the rest of the cord to go before i bathe her or is it okay now the rest of the cord is gone? X

We gave our little boy his first bath on Saturday at 3 weeks old, we just made sure it wasn't too deep or too hot and covered him in a wet muslin to keep him warm and he loved it, only used water and a little shampoo for his hair xx

Mine screamed as it was the first time. Subsequent baths since have been lovely and heās really enjoyed them. I would probably not use product, but thatās a personal choice. I donāt think there are any rules about it :)

I watched first bath tik toks, put a muslin over his bath seat, put a warm wet muslin over him in the seat and just kept sponging water over him. Ge absolutely loves baths now š„° i use baby bath, top to toe, baby shampoo and aveeno moisturiser, they all say from birth so didnt give it a second thought & hes been absolutely fine, he smells like a dream after he gets out š

alfie had a scab still and the bath really helped it x

I was anticipating our LO screaming the place down, but she absolutely loves the bath! We just used water for the first couple and now use a tiny splash of baby bath foam. We haven't needed to cover her with anything to keep her warm because it's been so hot but might be different in winter!

Loved it! I had one of those baths you donāt need to put in the bath but it was so slippy and needed to be supported at all times. We got the angelcare one which is great as they are supported (obv donāt leave them alone etc) and made it easier to wash her.
We hang over the bath with nappy on to wash hair first and then dry her hair to keep her warm. Then nappy off and a bum wash with a cloth then into the bath and a different cloth soaked and put on her belly whilst I wash the rest with a sponge.
Sheās 5 weeks tomorrow and weāre still using water only x

My baby screamed a ton in hospital with his sponge bath but when we did a bath at home in his tiny baby tub he was fine.

We started bathing our 9 days old when he was 3 days and he screams all the time, he hates it haha. But he seems to calm down when we put oil on him.
We use Johnson's baby shampoo on the hair only and the skin just water. Then we put Johnson's baby oil on him which seem to help with skin peeling off

Ours has had two proper baths and has hated it and screamed the whole time for both of them š we're told he'll get used to it!
We were advised not to use any products when they're newborn as they can be too much for their delicate skin.
