Anyone water broken naturally,how quick did contractions start?

First pregnancy waters broke and contractions started around 12 hours later with mild period cramps throughout the day. I went to bed and woke up around 1 in the morning with a loose toilet and bloody show and contractions really escalated from then on. Hope it all goes well for you x

1st pregnancy waters went 3 hours later contractions slowly started.
2nd pregnancy waters went as pushing
3rd still awaiting!

My waters broke with my first ans contractions were fairly instant..

Try to relax, do things to fill up on oxytocin which is key to labour.

Also bear in mind the 24 hours is guidelines, you can wait. Risk of infection goes from 0.5% to 1% after 24 hours. As soon as you start exams up there etc your risk of infection increases even more.

100% suggest getting yaself all relaxed and hope things start soon x

heyy victoria its lovely to hear your experience has given my mind some ease. Its been more than 12hrs nothing yet. I got some good rest and sleep. This is very tmi i do feel the poop movement but dont need to poo. I have been told it is contractions been having mild on and off . They are not getting stronger or frequent at all. Thankyou do keep me in your thoughts really want the natural contractions to start and get baby here hopefully. Xx

My waters broke at 3am Saturday morning and I went into triage they sent me home and I come in last night at 11pm so start being induced because contractions didn’t start. They have given me the gel as they can’t give you pessarys if your waters have gone, I am now having contractions every 4 mins or so, no pain relief so far. Waiting to go onto labour ward where I will probs have the hormone drip and epidural xx

Yep im trying to relax to fill up on oxytocin. Been resting and relaxing and got some sleep.

Oh thankyou for that info i didnt know that ,atleast now i know so i guess can wait before they examine. I really dont want them to intervene unless they really have too.

heyy samantha my experience quite similar at monday 4:30am my waters went. Its been 24hrs no contractions. Im feeling pain in lower back. I was told to ring today if no contractions. They said labour ward is busy at the moment. I have to call back at 7:30 . I will be augumented so artificially start contractions as waters are gone. Every 4mins no pain relief yet hats off to you your doing amazing. I hope i can be like that too. So now got wait till 7:30 to call back hopefully labourward can admit me . Im at the point i just wanna meet baby have a safe delivery. Hope all goes well for you and you have safe delivery xxx

aww your lucky they started straight away. Oh no and yh sometimes soon as you get to hospital it all stops. Yep unforts its been 24hrs now so they gonna intervene. But i have few more hours hope contractions start on its own. Yep i had a warm shower yday and been walking a lot. Wish you all the best and hopeing it all works out for me. At this point just want a safe delivery and healthy baby.

My waters went 23:45 on Saturday and I’m still waiting contractions. I’m in hospital anyway as don’t feel much movement due to anterior placenta. They are trying to keep me going to 37 weeks and am on 4 antibiotics a day to reduce infection. I’d rather they induce now but apparently baby is ok from the CTGs. I’ve never been so impatient and wishing the next 3 days away!!

oh no bless you😇dont worry you have got this and your not alone . Hopefully the antibiotics help you with some recovery. I know its hard to wait creates so much anxiety and stress. Honestly just keep yourself relaxed and calm . If this is something you dont want you have the right to make best decision for yourself and baby. Just tell them how you feel and what you want. Otherwise they will keep making decisions for you that you might not be happy about . All the best with your delivery. Hope you have a safe labour and delivery. Dont worry 3 days will fly by i know its hard to distract from the thought. Try watching funny sitcoms or your fave movie to keep you relaxed and tension free xxx

So some of my water broke at 11am and I felt contractions 30 mins after and they was consistent every 8/10 mins they was painful but like a period to start for me , was getting bloody show at the same time when the contractions got to every 5 mins I called triage, was seen at 3pm told only back waters had gone , midwife looked me over ... I swear right then she broke the rest of the them told me to go home call at 4am because they wanted me back at 5am for an induction, I left at 4pm and was back at the hospital at 8pm as contractions never stopped they got more and quicker and then at 7pm I left like I need to push , when I got to the hospital I was 10cm I couldn't belive for a first time mum how quickly I had escalated xx
