Overtired baby

My baby boy is 3 weeks old tomorrow and for the past few days we’ve been struggling with an overtired baby both day and night..

He’s feeding every 2 hours around 4 oz (formula fed) and not sure if he’s going through a growth spurt or what, but after being fed, burped, changed and cuddled he “fights” his sleep and there’s no way of actually getting him to close his eyes!
Since birth he has been happy sleeping (and waking every 2-3 hours) in his next to me and swaddle but yesterday night was honestly the worst, he was awake for hours and wouldn’t even fall asleep in my arms or in the bed with us.

We’ve tried giving him a dummy but he’s not interested after a few minutes, tonight we’re trying white noise again to see if it helps..

I know he’s still very little and have his day/night still confused and everyone keeps saying it gets better but reading about newborns sleeping through the night already doesn’t help and I’m already struggling with bad anxiety about being a good mom since giving birth, and seeing him so unhappy because he’s tired and not being able to get him to sleep just breaks my heart.

Any advice on how to settle him?

P.S. we know he’s not wind or gas as it is clear he passes that just fine now, plus when he’s awake fighting his sleep he doesn’t cry or complain, just stares at you or the wall.

Hi my baby also did the same a couple of days ago, but then when she did sleep she slept for ages and really well and was awake for less time than usual like just for feed and then went back to sleep. I read online that 3-4 weeks they are becoming more observant of the world around them more alert and aware and may have sleep regression so I think it’s normal. We’re doing well as long as we’re always there for them and trying our best ❤️

I wish mine would sleep a lot when he does, the best he’s going is 1hr and 45, that’s why I think there must something I’m not doing right :(

Mines been like this since 3 weeks, we're 6 weeks now and she's still so fussy and fights sleep :( she's also constantly straining so when she does go to sleep that disturbs her and she's up again:( apparently it's normal, I'm just giving bottles and cuddles whenever she wants them, hoping it will get better soon😪😪 x

Oh do you burp her after the bottle? If I don’t burp my baby she wakes up

I also don’t eat rice and potatoes I find my baby gets really gassy and seems like her tummy aches when I eat that

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂

No more naps! 10 month old

For a few days now my 10m old has fought her 2 daily naps. Normally her wake windows were 3-4 hours and she is now eventually napping after a 6 hour wake window. Today was only one nap, she skipped the second one. Used to nap like clockwork so I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Also very unsettled most nights and doesn’t sleep well at all
