Hi All. My LG turned 4 months yesterday and last couple of weeks she has not been taking the bottle between 8pm and 1pm. We combo feed because my supply is not great after having mastitis twice, but the child is all about the boob. She will only take it through the night and in the morning until about lunchtime. Even through the day it’s sometimes a fight for her to take the bottle. We haven’t changed the bottles or the formula. We upped the teet size about a month ago and she was fine with them. It’s a bit of an issue when I got appointments early on in the morning and she has to stay with her dad. Any tips on how to make the bottles more appealing to her again? Xx

We have the same, my LO was having bottles of expressed milk in the evening from his Dad so I could get on with chores/sleep etc but for the last 5 weeks he will only take boob.
It's fine because I can just about manage it all but I have tickets to see busted at the end of the month and I really want to go 😩

Unfortunately it’s pretty typical for this age. Have you tried cup feeding?

I haven’t, have you got any videos of how to do it properly?
I love breastfeeding and I’m not too fussed about doing it so much, I’m just worried she’s not going to get enough because my supply has been quite low, my right boob basically doesn’t produce any milk anymore coz of the mastitis xx

There’s some on YouTube which I used.

While I’m at it, what makes you think you’ve a low supply & that your R boob doesn’t produce? Have you tried power pumping? Never done it myself but apparently it’s ace for increasing your supply :)

because after my mastitis we wanted to come back to EBF but our LG was hungry! We thought she had colic until we gave her a bottle and she settled. Never heard of power pumping, but we were going to breast feeding clinic and got loads of tips. My right breast is visibly smaller. The left one produces enough at night but then it just feels like a pancake in the day after she’s been at it all night she morning xx
