Sleeping

My son is a month old and tends to wake every 2-3 hours. It could be worse I guess! But is there any tips for helping them to sleep longer stretches at night? I’m struggling with the lack of sleep as I was already bad with sleep before he was born. We’re thinking of trying to switch to the hungry baby milk. He’s also quite constipated for the past 2 weeks so will be speaking to the doctors as gripe water only seems to be helping a little..

Babies wake this much it’s totally normal till about 7-10 weeks. You need to keep them fed and checked on so I wouldn’t want them going any longer personally that small they need to be fed cuddled changed every 2-3 hours
Constipated is very normal too hopefully he goes x

My little boy is similar, he’s going about every 2.5-3 hours, he’s 4 weeks tomorrow. We’ve had one long stretch of sleep where he went 4 hours and that was after a bath 🙈
I’m sure I’ve read that hungry baby milk can cause constipation - what about switching brand?
He’s on HIPP organic and we haven’t had any constipation at all. Whereas my eldest used to get it quite bad and she was on Cow & Gate xx

my partner just said he was concerned about hungry baby milk for the same reason! Don’t wanna make him anymore constipated than he already is!! He’s on SMA at the min but might speak to doctor or health visitor about switching to a different brand xx

You can up his ounces instead of switching to hungry baby

It's normal for babies to wake up every 2 to 3 hours for a feed, they are still little x

My little girl is 2 weeks old and she goes every 2-3 hours sometimes wakes up sooner for a feed ! . She’s on sma comfort formula as she was getting a bit constipated on the regular sma. She’s now better with her Bowles . Sometimes she doesn’t go every day but heard that’s normal for babies . She’s also a bit colici atm so we’re giving colic relief drop and that seems to help settle her down xx

My little man is 4 weeks old and wakes every 2-3 hours in the night for a feed. I was thinking myself today that I'm also starting to ache and get really tired too 💤
My midwife / health visitor (can't remember which one) told me to not bother with any formula that states "for hungry babies" or anything like that as there's only a slight difference in the ingredients and doesn't do much but every baby is different!

I spoke to the doctor on Monday about mine as he wasn't opening his bowels for days on end ...apparently this is completely normal (2 poos a week) and only if the tummy becomes hard, then we must call them back to be examined.
Hope all is okay x

ah yes we took him to the doctors yesterday and turns out he’s not constipated, but he has colic! They’ve advised us to try the comfort milk too and try infacol but we already use that anyway! Defo gonna switch and hoping that helps xx

yes the health visitor told me yesterday not to use hungry baby milk cos it makes constipation worse xx

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

How many words

Just a quick gauge of how many words your little ones are saying at this age. I heard by 15 months it should be 5 words, are most around this mark ?
