First medicated IUI today

Hi! I had my first (and hopefully last) IUI this morning. Has anyone had success on the first try. Trying to stay positive!

I had twins my very first IUI… lots of baby dust to you… if you haven’t already go get fries it’s an old wives tale… I had them after mine and two weeks later I tested at it came back positive!

My spouse and I wanted 2 kids and we knew there was a chance we could have multiples which we were absolutely fine with lol. If your hCG is over 1,100 at 16 dpiui then there is a chance!! I had a chance for triplets! Lots of baby dust to you mama!

Do you sometimes feel like people are having kids for all the wrong, selfish reasons??

I had an old friend tell me that she’s trying to get pregnant because she wants a girl so she can do her hair and she’s “excited to buy cute baby girl clothes” and be able to “have a best friend”. Like sure that’s cool, but also babies are not toys lol. They are expensive and eventually become adults who didn’t ask to be here and will have to deal with the fawked up, failed system we birthed them into and hope to God they’re smart enough to make a real difference.
