Do you sometimes feel like people are having kids for all the wrong, selfish reasons??

I had an old friend tell me that she’s trying to get pregnant because she wants a girl so she can do her hair and she’s “excited to buy cute baby girl clothes” and be able to “have a best friend”. Like sure that’s cool, but also babies are not toys lol. They are expensive and eventually become adults who didn’t ask to be here and will have to deal with the fawked up, failed system we birthed them into and hope to God they’re smart enough to make a real difference.

I don't love the idea of having a baby just so you have a little doll to dress up and throw a bunch of gender stereotypes at(and what happens when you never have a girl lol), but I also don't think there's a selfless reason to have a baby. I think what matters is that you do your best when they're here 😊

I caught myself thinking of having another child because I wanted my son to have a sibling. Thankfully, I was mature enough to realise that deep inside I don’t really have a desire to have another child. I feel very content and complete with just having my son. And if the main reason for me to have another one is to give my first one a sibling, then that’s the wrong reason. Especially given that most of the siblings just constantly fight and there is absolutely no guarantee they even will like each other and will be friends.

I took a pregnancy test this morning and forgot all about it until i came to bed. Is this a control line or a faint positive?

But im not finished.

You ever been so horny you just want to get off multiple times break a sweat and just get f***ed but then your spouce cums too quick and then the baby starts crying so you just stay pent up? Me too.

Ive had men tell me to "tell them what I want" okay well I told you not to c*m yet and then you c*me quicker. Wtf.

Conceiving after birth (post infertility)

Hi, I’m just looking for some advice, I’m only 20 weeks pregnant atm with my first but we’ve had so many issues conceiving in the first place, it’s taken 6 constant years of trying with not even one positive test until this baby! (No losses thank god)

After a few years of trying with no success we did find out I have an under active thyroid and PCOS and got diagnosed as infertile but now I can’t be happier!

Everything said I know I haven’t gone through the birth yet and I do want to give my body the time to heal but honestly we’ve always wanted a big family and there’s so much anxiety about being able to conceive again.

I know after you give birth you’re most fertile which is great but I just don’t know how long that lasts. I obviously don’t want to get pregnant 6 weeks after I’ve given birth but if that’s the only choice so it doesn’t take 6 years again I would do it :/
