Self isolation before c section

So due to the other covid and that going around again.. and kids being back at school with flu etc, I was wondering if it was best to self isolate a week or so leading up to my c section (2 weeks time) I have such a weak immune system and since being pregnant I’ve picked up every virus under the sun 🙄 and I really do not want to be ill leading up to my section and after for the sake of my little girl. My family have also thought about going into self isolation for the sake of me and baby as well.

Anyone else think this is a good idea or am I being dramatic?🤣 only when I’m ill.. I am really ill and I can’t fight it off very quickly and knowing my luck I will pick something up leading up to it with all my hospital visits etc even tho I do take precautions! Baring in mind… I have picked up covid twice whilst being pregnant! Anyone else done this purely down to the safety of baby?❤️ I just want everything to go as smoothly as possible and if I can help in anyway to make this happen I will!!😄

I didn’t do it personally but you’ll be Covid tested at your pre op anyway (and maybe your in theatre partner too - mine was but it was proper 2021/22 Rona). Even if you have Covid, you will still get your surgery and care.

I had Covid in trimester 3 and my obstetrician and midwife weren’t worried but I was low risk. Baby will have fab antibodies though!

If it makes you comfortable, go for it x

If you're immunocompromised, I think it's fine to be overly cautious if you want. I didn't but I'm not immunocompromised. My husband and I have traveled to 3 countries and 13 states in the US and still haven't gotten it. Being a bit of a germaphobe pays off and nothing wrong with keeping yourself safe going into a big surgery!

Personally, I would. I got COVID on the morning of the c section and was being very cautious as was on immunosuppressants. I actually didn't get it badly but coughing with fresh c section was really no fun!!

Is this normal?

Is this little red bit on my section scar normal? It’s not oozing anything, doesn’t hurt but it’s the only bit on my scar like it so just curious! (19 days PP)
Thank you in advance! 🥰

Help

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

Is this braxton hicks or early labour pains?

Labour??

I’ve had on/off mild period cramps since 9 last night, very irregular and very mild, but I just had one that woke me up. My waters haven’t gone and nor has my mucous plug… but could this be a sign that it’s close?! I’m 40+3 and desperate to meet her!

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?
