He literally screammmmms and when I give it to him he grabs it and downs it likes he’s so hungry/ thirsty! He eats so welll during the day. He is a foodie for sure. So not sure he’s that hungry? Should I be cutting down when he’s 1?

I had my HV appointment yesterday, she said once my LO has switched to cows milk to start offering water at night instead as babe could still be thirsty! She still wakes 1-2 times for a bottle at night xx

My HV also said the same to me BUT I’ll be bf for a little longer. Cows milk during the day (in a few weeks when he’s 1) and boob in the morning and night feed and during the night if he wants it. I’m sure the WHO says you should bf until 2 (or beyond) so if you’re happy to keep doing it then I would.
Mine is also still waking up in the night for 1 feed (he did go to 2 but is bk down again). I put it down to teething and a growth spurt as he’s suddenly shot up and he’s now looking ready to go up a clothes size… which explains all the extra feeds.
He also loves his food and eats really well during the day.

I stopped breastfeeding at 9 months so now it’s just formula . Thanks so much so I guess it’s normal and I should suck it up until he stops. I’ll defo try the water at night when he’s one (in a month) thanks ladies

my first was also obsessed with milk and she would often wake up and just want a bottle of milk and settle herself back to sleep. We would only give a little bottle (maybe 3-4oz) but it took a while for her to not need it any more (she was 3 when we managed to get her off the bottle).

really ? So every night you have a bottle until 3? Or just before bedtime or both

She had 1 before bed and then if she woke up she’d most likely have another. It wasn’t every night as she was a good sleeper but Yh, it took a while to get her off it.
Like full blown screaming breakdown when we tried to not give her a bottle before bed. In the end she was just ready to give it up on her own.

Same here. I think it’s my fault though as always fed to sleep. Sometimes he will go longer than other nights but it’s usually around 2:30am he wakes

I'd look into making sure babe has the correct sleep pressure, especially if he's waking at the same time every night. Might be worth looking into split sleep too! The Beyond Sleep Training Project group on Facebook are great as they don't advocate sleep training methods (cry it out, ferber method etc) xx

Ours is the same. Eats well and drinks plenty of water and has a good amount of bottle during the day.
Wakes for a feed at night. Had a HV appointment yesterday and she said to try giving water insted.
The way he slapped my arm away when I tried giving him water last night 😅😅😅

ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ why can’t it just be easy

these babies are like puzzles. The moment you think you've worked them out, they change and you're back at square one 😵
