You try a sleeping pill? My doctor said it’s okay.

3am over here and I just scroll through my phone until I get bored 💀

Sometimes I resort to reading😂 that will make my eyes tired.

5:00am can’t sleep

Reading helps me too.

Avatar

which sleeping pill you are taking?

Does anyone like to video chat?

I just use over the counter generic brand sleeping pills like unisom

Avatar

I try not to use sleeping pills every night, but if I can’t fall asleep by 5am I’ll take one .

Also, if you can avoid napping late in the day that helps some, along with a warm shower and reading something that’s not too exciting. Some nights those things don’t seem to help and that’s when I’ll take a sleeping pill. It’s also easier to sleep when my partner isn’t at work and I’m not home alone.

Cherries also have melatonin in them. Some people juice them and some eat them.

I saw a mom make cherry juice and breast milk pops for her little to help regulate his sleep cycle

Benedryl or Unisom was recommended to me for troubles sleeping. I take benedryl every night and am currently 29 wks pregnant. It is perfectly safe for you to take every night if needed, I questioned my midwife on it and she informed me it is one of the best rates for pregnancy because it does not pass over to baby at all

Was up from 3am to 5:30am today. It sucks.

I turn the tv on to help shut my mind off.

Magnesium spray on your feet

I wasn't sleeping and my doctor recommended unisom. I feel so much better and it doesn't make me like groggy in the morning which I like. My mom also has a hard time sleeping and she said she eats a kiwi before bed and it helps her fall asleep faster and stay asleep. I personally have not tried this but she says it works

Stormy weather playing from YouTube really helps with my sleep

Thank you so much everyone!! I feel like I’m too early in my third trimester to be feeling this bad with sleep already

Bendryl Is safe. At least for me. I would talk to your doctor and if your still worried you can always take kid Benadryl. I say talk to your doctor because i dont know if you have any medical problems with pregnancy that could interact with Benadryl. So definitely check with your doctor. But I take it on nights that I reall just can’t sleep.

Magnesium!

I've been listening to sleep meditation music binaural beats I'm not sure if you like white noise brown green pink but pick a color they have something that's a little bit different to help everybody.

Mother Earth Minerals Magnesium supplement before bed, blue light blocking glasses at least 30 min before bed, brown noise, eye mask. Doing a quiet activity until you get sleepy can be more helpful than laying there trying to sleep with your mind going. Do a brain dump in a journal of all the thoughts that are weighing on your mind to get it all out. I also use a still point inducer to calm my nervous system. Video I made on how I use a still point inducer: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CoL1l3EpSBY/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Also sometimes listening to a boring lecture on YouTube makes me fall asleep in no time 😆

Avatar

If anyone is up I made a late night pod

Avatar

My obgyn says to take 1 Tylenol ( I have restless legs too) and 1 unisom at night
It helps me to sleep better but I don’t know I can take it everyday

Avatar

thank you so much I’m going to start doing brain dumps .. I think this is a big part of my problem!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Pumping advise

FTM to a 2 week old! I’m breastfeeding and then giving one formula bottle last in the evening before bed. I want to start expressing milk to give me some breathing room and also allow my partner to be more involved in feeding. I’m finding the idea of introducing pumping into my day quite overwhelming though. I don’t want to take milk away from my baby by pumping if he needs it during the day when being breastfeed.

Can anyone advise how I start pumping and when to do it? Thank you!
