I keep thinking “maybe baby’s got lots of hair”, but omg it’s sooooo hard to go hours with this heartburn 😭

Avatar

@Vanessa I heard this too about the hair but also read that it's because your stomach being pushed up so the acid in tummy rises also which makes sense! At least we have little gift of the baby at the end of all the discomforts 🤣🫶❤️

Only the orange flavour rennies work for me.. but deffo not taking it away completely anymore! 25 weeks tomorrow and ive noticed the heartburn getting worse and happening more oftern🥹🥹

Ah no, I'm hoping to hear someone tell me it gets better 🤣🥺xx

I was prescribed omeprazole a month ago, it worked for me but after 3 days. I took it for a week and half only and since then haven’t had heartburn.

I phoned. The doc and got peptac (apparently it’s just the same as gaviscon though) I’m in the same boat it doesn’t help! But milk tends to ease it if it’s during the night and I can’t sleep, milk will help it enough for me to have a decent sleep

Just a simple half a glass of water with a teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate. Mix it in, and down it before it settles. A word of warning, it is absolutely disgusting and have something else ready to drink right after to mask the flavour. But it helped for me. Which isn't surprising considering that the ingredient is very similar to those in rennies and gaviscon.

Omeprazole has worked the best for me so far, though it took a good few days to work. I found peptac didn’t stop me feeling nauseous/ being sick with acid reflux. I was getting an awful taste in my mouth, am so glad I spoke to GP as it was really starting to get me down and getting hard to eat. Xx

I spoke to my midwife this week and she said if rennies or gaviscon stop working go to the GP and they can help x

Rennie's. I had lots of heart burn in the last trimester with my wee boy & he came out as bald as anything 😂 so don't be getting your hopes up thinking it's a big head of hair 😂 I also have started getting heart burn this time around 22 weeks

Milk helped me with my first..

I was really sick and had lots of heartburn doctors told me I was having multiple birth ( scan showed one) then the heartburn said baby was going to have lots of hair ( he came out bald)

Milk helps me a lot or milkshakes when I get heartburn and If I’m in bed I use an extra pillow x

Thanks all! I've got some omeprazole so I think they are my beat option for now, took one last night before dinner and didn't get heartburn before bed 🫶🩷 thank god haha I will ask the docs for more of those I think! Appreciate all your replies! 👏xxx

Had my worst case of heartburn yesterday.

Partner made me 175ml of warm water with 1tsp baking soda to drink and it resolved it within 30 minutes. Going to be using this on the regular going forward!

I had bad bad heart burn with my first, rennies helped a lot, he came with a whole head of hair, ginger too! 2nd time round I've had bad heart burn, rennies again, hoping for LG to have lots of hair too 😂 . But rennies for the win

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

Braxton hicks

I’m currently 34 weeks and have been experiencing braxton hicks for the past few weeks however have been having cramps almost like very strong period cramps In my lower stomach. I’ve mentioned this to my midwife and she only really asked if I’d been keeping hydrated and taking my vitamins which I am but didn’t really proceed to tell me if this was normal or related to braxton hicks also, has anyone else experienced this?

Help

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

Is this braxton hicks or early labour pains?

Labour??

I’ve had on/off mild period cramps since 9 last night, very irregular and very mild, but I just had one that woke me up. My waters haven’t gone and nor has my mucous plug… but could this be a sign that it’s close?! I’m 40+3 and desperate to meet her!

Little girl turning herself sideways in next to me

My little girl tonight, has spun herself so she is lying sideways in her next to me, making me panic!

Is this normal at 4.5 months, do I just lie her back normally/vertically?
