My last scan they said 5 or 6 but they only saw the gestational sac so that’s why they did the bloodwork. I go back next Wednesday for another scan.
They only seen a gestational sac during my 5 week 4 day scan but they weren't alarmed by it they said it's normal bc it's very early I wouldn't worry if I was you baby just needs to get a bit bigger
My Hcg puts me in the 6-7 week range though. Shouldn’t they have seen something?
Was looking for your follow-up! Are they going to give you a progesterone supplement? That's really low.
They said they aren’t too concerned with my progesterone being where it is due to the fact that this fluctuates during pregnancy. I’m so worried and so confused!! I’m going back for another scan at the perinatal testing center on October 10th. I’m not in any pain or discomfort. My doctor said they didn’t see anything in my tubes or my ovaries so they’re leaning away from this being a pregnancy in an unknown location. I’m just so lost right now!
HCG can't really determine gestational age bc it's such a wide range for each week of pregnancy & depending on if there's multiples so your probably earlier then 6-7 weeks if they aren't seeing anything
@Dana if possible, I'd try to get to a different OBGYN office. Mine told me some offices go by 10 as a threshold, others 15. Mine was at 16, dropped from 17, and she's concerned (I'm also 39 and she wants to make sure it's a viable pregnancy). I go in on Monday for follow up blood work. My cousin had low progesterone and it caused a miscarriage. I don't want to scare you, but I know how much you care. I really hope you seek a second opinion.
I am 8 weeks 2 days and went for my first scan and blood work a few days ago. My progesterone was 12.3 and they gave me the option to do a progesterone suppository regimen, said it couldn’t hurt 🤷🏻♀️ ive decided to try it out just to give my baby the best chance, maybe ask about it at the OBGYN?
Update: sadly this is a nonviable pregnancy. Still nothing showed up in my gestational sac.
Usually if they can only see gestational sac it's bc it's very early pregnancy if your hcg levels are going up that's all that matters when it comes to knowing if pregnancy is viable until your next scan but they didn't tell you how far along you were at your scan? Is that what your trying to figure out?
