Hi ladies
It’s been a few weeks now that my baby is refusing to drink more than 100 ml she is 7 weeks old and 5 days
She use to drink 120ml every three hours without even stopping for a burp now she is being really fussy with her milk
I tried everything I tried to give every 4 hours so she can been hungry and finish her milk the position of the baby the baby bottle I don’t know what’s going on
I ask health visitor she said a long as she gained weight it’s fine and is having a lot of wet nappies
In every feed I’m trying really hard for her to finish her milk
She was born 2.380kg and is currently 4.720kg
But is really hard in every feed to try so hard for her milk
Any suggestions ?

My little one went through this. He was born smaller than expected too. I wouldn't try to get her to finish her milk. Let her tell you.
If she only has 100ml offer food again in 4 hours or maybe longer if she isn't showing signs of being hungry. but if she shows signs of being hungry before do top up. That's what I do. They will eat what they want to eat, i worry that if I continue to try when he is no longer interested he may get food aversion.
I have also found offering more to start with helps. Not sure why but seems to make difference. I also find that if we stop to burp he won't go back to it. Also you may find that randomly she will finish the whole bottle then maybe have less next time. Focus more on the amount in 24 hours rather than each feed. Bit like us with looking at daily calories rather than each meal.
I have booked in 4 weekly weigh ins to make sure he is gaining. It's more for my peace of mind. The HV is right though as long as there are wet nappies it's all good

A very similar thing happened to my baby just a couple of days ago (she is 8 weeks today)! I breastfeed so don’t know how much she was drinking but she was rejecting feeds and seemed to want to feed way less. But she’s back to normal again now so maybe it’s a stage of development or something.
I wouldn’t worry for now, they will know when they are hungry and how much they want.
