Is there anyone else out there unable to keep absolutely anything in their system? I am 16+5 On top of being constantly dehydrated, nauseous and lethargic I’m vomiting at least 10 times a day. My mouth always taste funny and weird. Even particular water brands taste nasty to me and I throw up anything more than 3 sips. I’ve gone through at least 4 different prescribed medications that have all been ineffective. I’ve lost 26 lbs in 18 days. I’ve tried everything and at this point, idk what else to do. Anyone have gone through or currently going through the same thing? Any solutions?

I went through it really bad in my first trimester, to the point of losing consciousness. Midwife told me to use unisom and vitamin b6 in the evening to treat it. That did help quite a bit, but made my exhaustion that much worse. It got better 14-16 weeks, but just this week the vomiting is picking back up. I hope you start feeling better :/

Girl! I’m so sorry you’re going through this. When I had it, it literally felt like I was dying and wasting away. I felt so bad I ended up getting an abortion. I also had a threatened abortion/miscarriage, so I felt like the pregnancy wasn’t going to end well anyhow. You need to go to the hospital like once a week and tell them you NEED an Iv to keep you hydrated that’s the only way to feel better at this point. And The doctors don’t take it serious enough for me. I tried to eat here and there, I would keep it down for like an hour then throw up. I did like fruit smoothies like Bolthouse Farms’ drinks. Also I had a cyst on my ovaries that releases pregnancy hormones… it may of took longer to go away, which is why I think I got HG in the first place. Apparently we get this type of cyst every month.

You need IV in the doctors office or Er I was the same way with my 3 girls couldn’t keep even water down.

I didn’t feel better until I went to the ER, they gave me fluids and a Zofran prescription. I can’t drink anything or function without it!

I had hyperemsis in my first pregnancy, I was hospitalised for most of my pregnancy with IV drips, I had cyclizine through an IV as well as nutrients. This really helped for a little while. My hypermesis continued up until I gave birth to my daughter and then it went completely. I was given ondanestron for anti sickness just to get me by.

When I can’t keep water down I eat ice. I’m so sorry you’re not alone. Pregnancy has been rough

Hey ladies, thank you all so much for the kind words and advice. Each and every advice was taken and followed so all of them are greatly appreciated!!

I want to give you guys an update! It’s been a week since my post and I did go to a hospital and got discharged today. I post this UPDATE as means to carry it forward, who knows who this can save or be the solution for:
SOLUTION: B6 pill
Ladies please I recommend going to an HCA or teaching hospital that will do a full assessment of your insides, hospital that will go above and beyond for you.
So, It turned out I had gallbladder stones that released into and blocked my common bile duct. The stones were not only causing me pain but also the hyperemesis which led to nutrient loss. Since I lost all the nutrients from hurling, my potassium levels were critically stupid low. The hospital made sure to check all my internal organs from my liver to my kidney to pancreas and appendix, to find out the problem. Once found, they took all measures to resolve it by keeping me on IV fluids and everything else I was depleted of when I was sick inclu prenatal vitamin, míralax to regulate my bowels.
