Went in for a sweep Wednesday to then find out I’ve got preeclampsia, two days later and I’m still here! None of the induction methods worked so I’m now waiting for a section to get baby out! Has anyone got any tips or tricks for healing after?

Sounds identical to my birth story! i went in on Friday with preeclampsia and was induced the next day, I was already 1cm but drip literally did nothing! I have found healing not bad at all, first 48 hours are tough but it’s crazy how quickly your body recovers. I am on day 6 finally home and feel a lot better. Best of luck lovely x

Take the pain relief regularly, drink plenty of fluid it makes the first wee easier. I had my catheter removed at 6am, at 4:30am I asked for some pain relief so I was comfortable when getting up and about for the first time which helped LOADS. Your stomach will just feel tight the first day but isn’t tooo sore but the second and third day are quite sore so take it easy, limit guests to 1 hour visits so if you start to get uncomfortable you know everyone is leaving soon I had people hanging about and I just wanted to be left alone. I think in theatre they gave me some medicine up my bum (this is standard in my hospital) TAKE IT! It honestly made the first 24 hours so much easier I was really comfortable while in hospital. Congratulations! My c-section birth was lovely, I hope you enjoy yours too xx

The trapped wind pain on day 2 can be agonising. Ask someone to pick you up some wind relief pills from the pharmacy. It's called 'wind-eze' or there is a boots own version too. It will be a life saver.
