I know our babies are only little! But I was just wondering when people are starting to put their baby to bed upstairs and then us parents go downstairs and keep an eye on them with a monitor?
My 5 week old needs darkness and silence to sleep and my partner is LOUD without meaning to be, she can take ages to fall asleep downstairs, but if she is still awake on nights I want to go bed early, I take her up and she falls asleep pretty much instantly! Just don't want to leave her up there on her own if its not recommended at this age

When we had our little girl, we put her upstairs on her own for around 2 hours each evening for this exact reason from around 7 weeks old. I'm not sure if it is recommended but for her to get adequate rest it was necessary. My partner and I would take turns to check on her every 15 minutes and we had a video monitor too. Following as I'm interested to see other people's thoughts on this xx

I personally wouldn’t as safe sleep advice is for them to both nap and sleep in same room as parents until 6 months old to protect against SIDS. But it’s your child at the end of the day so entirely up to you and what you’re prepared to do in order for suit your family and your circumstances

I would rather follow safe recommendations, that's why I was seeking advice 😊 looks like a lot of early nights for me then in order for her to get some sleep 😂
