Rapid cool flask set - sterilisation

I have brought the Nuby Rapid Cool & Hot Flask set yesterday. Now I can get out and about after my section!

To sterilise them I washed them in hot soapy water, then put them in cold Milton tub for 30 mins with a Milton tablet …

I used them in the evening as we went down our local for dinner.
However late last night my 3 week old had 2 watery poo’s and sicked up his bottle (was the one from the feed when we were out). His poop was fine just the day yesterday.

I cried so much thinking I have made him sick or done something wrong. Even though he hasn’t had bad nappy since, just seemed to be the 2 at like midnight. 😭
I have also woke up feeling snotty! So now wondering if he is maybe a bit poorly as we have had lots of people visit to meet him.🥺😩

My questions are:

Is Milton safe for the babies to come in contact with right away, as I obviously sterilised them with the Milton then used them?
Was I suppose to rinse the Milton off with boiled water?
Please can someone explain how they clean theirs? I don’t have a UV or Steam steriliser as we use MAM bottles in microwave.

Milton tablets are completely safe, don’t rinse them off as this will make them unsterile. Sometimes babies just get a funny belly, keep an eye on it and if you’re concerned book into you gp. My son is 4 months and never had the best nappies but the gp has never been worried xx

I thought the same that it is safe. It just smells very strong, like a chlorine smell. I smelt them when I got home and got worried that it wasn’t safe 😭

He hasn’t had a bad nappy like the one last night so it took me by surprise. That it was a couple in a row. Usually his poop is pasty (sorry tmi) …

I’m going to keep an eye on him today make sure he is feeding the same / nappies are wet & normal poop when he goes.

Don’t worry you’re doing everything right. My son’s are like pure gravy as he’s breastfed so try not to worry too much. If they continue get in touch with your gp. My son has suspected cows milk allergy so it’s worth keeping an eye on things. X

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

My little one is struggling with sleep

Hey! I'm in need of some advice please girls! My little boy is 20 months turns 21 months in 2 half weeks. He use to sleep through the night now he is waking up every single night in the early morning, I've had to transition him to a toodler bed as he kept climbing out his cot. Just need some advice on what I can do to help him get back in to a sleep pattern?

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
