Trying not to be hard on myself but I’m only making about 2-4 oz per pumping session. Pediatrician said that’s okay for what she wants now but basically when she feeds, I feed her the bottle I previously pumps while I pump another. Then I wait about an hour and try to pump again but don’t get much at all.
It’s really weighing on me and I’m struggling to keep up already at 4 days PP. I felt good about my supposed until this last session I got 1.5oz total from each side and had no other bottle so all I could give her was what I had. Starting to really suck and my boobs are so so sore. Really don’t want to use formula but I can’t just let my baby starve

The way a baby feeds is slightly different than the way a pump works. It is better for your supply if you breastfeed her and pump the other side at the sametime, or pump right after feeding her.
Regularity in feeding/pumping will help too. It takes a bit to get in the swing of things. It is common to have a heavier supply in the morning too.
If I may ask: why exclusively pumping?
May sure to drink plenty of water and eat.

it began bc in the hospital and first night home she wouldn’t latch at all. I have pretty small nipples that still don’t get larger with stimulation so I thought
It was just hard for her. I have her a bottle and she immediately latched on. Pediatrician said she has no lip tie and my nipples are normal so I don’t understand. The only time my nipples are larger are after a pumping session but by then I’ve pumped. I’ve been thinking about trying out the massage mode or a couple minutes with the pump to enlarge them and then try to latch

I'm a month pp and still only making 2 oz per session. Have you tried power pumping? Are you sure you're using the right flange size? If you have small nipples it might be too big

Gotcha. Agree with Cynthia, smaller flanges for the pump.
The massage mode to breastfeeding sounds like a good idea.

I'm 3 weeks postpartum and pump about that much each session. You are doing great momma and it will get better.
I would try power pumping for your first pump in the morning. It's usually my 4 a.m. pump for me. 20 min pump, 10 min rest, 10 min pump, 10 min rest, 10 min pump. I know it seems like a lot but it does help!
Secondly, what pump are you using? I know with my spectra I use the massage mode to trigger my let down. Then if my flow stops I do the massage mode again, most of the time I get a second let down.
Third, flange size! My pump came with a 24 mm and a 28 mm flange. I found I am a 22 mm. So I just got inserts off Amazon to adjust it and it made a WORLD of difference. There are nipple rulers on Amazon for literally $4 too!
I hope this helps some! My little guy does not have a lip or tongue tie, and even latches good, but he doesn't move the milk at all.
Please remember your worth is not measured in ounces and this will get easier❤️

2-4 oz per session at only 4 days PP is great!!! I know it may not seem like a lot but your milk is still coming in and that can take a little time!
I’m exclusively pumping and mine used to be around that much if not less per session. I’m 3.5 weeks in and just now started getting enough to be ahead.
A few key things I noticed that helped my supply:
-Staying super hydrated. The more liquids I intake the more I’m outputting
-I drink body armors every day, I saw that on TikTok and swear it works
-make sure you’re also eating protein and carbs. Especially during pumping / breastfeeding! If I’m
Not eating or skips meals that day my production is less
-never skip middle of the night pumps. Typically this is when most people end up with their biggest pumps.
-right flange sizes and pressure are super important
Its SO normal for your pumping outputs to get smaller throughout the day.
Pumping is hard, and it’s hard to find time for sometimes! You’re doing GREAT
