Hey moms! So this is my fourth pregnancy. It's almost like riding a bike. But for some strange reason, I've been having fear and anxieties about going into labor this time! I don't know why, but I am scared when the time comes to give birth. Last time, I went all natural, and it went as smooth as it could. I am confused as to why I am feeling this way. Any advice or suggestions on how to cope or deal with this?

This is my first and I am feeling same . I hate vaginal exams so don’t know I am ready for vaginal delivery. On the same boat ,due in Dec

Therapist to work on it? Body movement stuff like Spinning Babies with affirmations to build confidence? Journaling? If you search “cohérence cardiaque” on Spotify there’s a lot of songs with one tone to breathe in/one to breathe out that I find soothing. The Instagram account steadyparents has sensory tips to calm your body and focus on a feeling of safety.

I can definitely relate to this. My previous births were natural and without any complications. This time I was terrified! Perhaps because it was such a long time ago.
I began watching positive birth vlogs on YouTube and my confidence began to increase.
I also used affirmations reminding myself that I’ve done it before and I can do it again.
Now, I genuinely feel “ready” to give birth. No longer feeling scared… just need to finish buying bits for the baby because our youngest is almost 10 years old 😆.
You’ve got this mama! 💪🏾

@Naomi Thank you! 💙It is so strange, you'd think us moms with multiple kids go through it like no big deal. My oldest is Five, my youngest is 1, so not to much space between the three kids.
I feel now, like I did my first pregnancy, plus a little extra, and I figured it may have been stress from all the craziness in my home and the things going on.
But I thought about the actual labor and pushing. Freaked myself out.
Ha.
I like the video idea. My attention to stuff like that decreased after more then one child. I didn't even have a baby shower for my daughter or this pregnancy. I had not been able to actually focus on myself or the pregnancy really this time. :/
Any video suggestions that you liked?

@Kelly The songs sound like a good idea.
I also love the Journaling idea. I have not even gotten to see my doctor for next appointment yet because my van broke down, my husband works (sometimes to much) and his family won't help with anything. It's like I've been trapped in this little box.

@Meem 🎊your first. I remember that first time feeling. Then after my second and third, I would tell women, you can do this and that birth is worth every second to meet your baby. I went to the hospital, no big deal ready to push and confident. Which i should, because it really is something us women's bodies are good at! Giving birth.
Now, I'm scared like I am having my first all over again. 😅 I try to tell my self, you had three babies, you got this. But, I guess I let anxiety get best of me.
You got this too though. Even if freaked out, I do know in the end, we are gonna be overjoyed to meet our little one.
Also, take a peek at the other ladies comments. They got good suggestions! They could help you too, and other women who are feeling what you and I are feeling.

One of my favourites! I’ll see if I can find any others I enjoyed.
