Is 6oz for a 5 week old too much?

A bit too much, I’d shorten the distance between feeds x

I was giving my baby 5oz at 5 weeks as he was still looking after 4oz hes now 7 weeks and on 6oz x

I can’t because she screams for the bottle if I give her 4-5oz xx

My baby is on 5oz at 5 weeks. Don't think it will be long until I increase either 😊 she was nearly 9lb when born so I don't go by weeks as weight is so varied xx

My little boy is on 6oz at 4 weeks🤷🏻‍♀️ shortening the distance between feeds won't make a difference as it will still mean they're taking more over a 24 hour period. If she's hungry and keeping it down it's absolutely fine hun xx

My baby is 26d old and he is taking 6oz bottles now whenever he wants feeding, he’s 8lbs 10oz based on when he was last weighed I think now 4/5 doesn’t fill him up either I think just formula fed babies are more hungry 😭😭

My baby was born 8lb 9oz and has gained weight well since birth. He’s now 5 weeks and we’re offering 6oz each feed at the minute as he was crying for more after each 5oz feed.
6 bottles in a 24 hours period. Sometimes he takes 6oz but mostly he’s taking 5.5oz.
I queried the increase with my HV as it felt too soon but she was happy with his weight gain and said to follow his lead.

@Tabitha during the day it's usually 3-4 hours and then we have one longer period of a night time which is about 5 hours xx

He goes 3 hours between feeds during the day, roughly 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm and 8pm then whenever he wakes in the night, sometimes 1/2am.

yes that’s the same with us, sometimes she spits some up but never loads of it xx
