Babybean nutrition on instagram is a paediatric nutritionist who has lots of really good info. You can offer anything that's soft enough to be easily squished between your fingers. Gagging is really normal at the start, they're only used to liquid, and they may not eat much to start off with, which is fine, you just need to give a few weeks to months for them to get used to having solids.
It's also better to start with one meal for the first few months- breakfast or lunch, so their gut can get used to having different foods, and for when you introduce allergens you have the whole day to monitor for reactions.
My LO had different ideas to me about how we'll start solids 😆 I was set on BLW, but she wouldn't have a bar of it and would only eat pureed food with zero texture for at least the first month, I had to introduce texture slowly. Don't be discouraged if they just refuse everything at first, learning to eat is a huge learning curve, and all the flavours are new!

Thank you!
It’s a scary time and still undecided on if we do BLW or purée…but like yo I said I guess our baby will let us know what he wants 😂
