5 Weeks inconclusive Scan?

Not at all, I found out super early went into my first ultrasound with intentions I was 8 weeks and I was only 5 weeks. They had me go back a weeks later. The fetus being so little ultrasounds may not pick up the heartbeat that early.

No as there isnt a heartbeat til 6 weeks so chances are you'll go back in 2 weeks and all will be fine.

There isn’t going to be a heartbeat this early on. A heartbeat is typically seen at 6w4d (as advised by my fertility clinic). Try not to worry x

I was a full week out with my daughter she’s now 18m old .

No the heart just hasn't developed yet, i think it develops around 7 or 8 weeks

This is why I could never have an early scan and they advice you go 12 weeks if your not exactly 12 weeks they'll still see a heart beat, I thought I was 12 weeks when I went turned out I was 10, try not to panic Baby is just to small to see the heart at the moment, I'm sure everything is fine ☺️

In my opinion they shouldn't have let you book on that early. It's better to wait until 7 / 8 weeks in case you are a bit earlier than you thought x

It’s very early for a heartbeat. If everything seemed to be in the right place I wouldn’t be worried at all as I think they’d have given you some indication if things didn’t look right even without a heartbeat present x

I’ve seen a heartbeat at 5w6d and 6w. Give it some time!!

There isn’t typically a heart beat till 6 weeks don’t worry!
