Sweep

What’s everyone’s experience with a sweep? I’ve just had one at 38+2 and was told my cervix was 1-2cm dilated and I lost some of my some of my show last night.

Is this promising or could baby still be a while yet?😗

Baby could either be hours, days or weeks away. I had my first sweep Thursday and I was 1cm, lost my bloody show yesterday evening, had a few on and off contractions type pains overnight which then subsided when I woke up, I had another sweep this morning and she said I was about 2cm, my cervix was forward and medium, and lost more bloody mucus plug throughout the day followed by jelly type mucus, and now I’ve just got dull period pains but nothing other than that. I’ve got another sweep booked in for Tuesday and if that one doesn’t bring on labour I’ll be induced on Thursday xx

@Tori I just wanted to say you are in labour 😅 this is the first stage of your labour, it can be quick for some people but as you said days or a week or two for others but your baby is on its way so just relax and your body will bring your baby, you really don't need another sweep or an induction unless your waters go and you need to speed things up for a medical reason 😊

@Molly things can be slow for some people but again this is the start of labour and your body is getting ready to go, just try and enjoy it, relax, do some nice stuff for yourself 🥰

definitely trying to take it easy and just make sure everything’s ready 🙈 I am trying to avoid an induction aswell if possible, my midwife said they could even skip the pessary/balloon part and just break my waters but I’m hoping that baby decides to do that herself before Thursday!😅 doing all the ball exercises etc to try and encourage her along a little bit😂xx

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Rolling milestone at 5 months - What’s typical ?

Good morning ladies,

My daughter will be 5 months old tomorrow, but there’s still no sign of her rolling. She does tummy time and loves lying on her mat, playing with hanging toys above her and to the sides, but she only lifts her legs and doesn’t seem interested in rolling or moving sideways yet.

Anyone else the same or have your babies already learnt how to roll yet ?

Thank you
