Leaving baby

When did you guys first leave baby? My baby is 2 months old and I haven't been apart from her yet. I have driving lessons this week so will be leaving her for 1 or 2 hours and I feel like pulling out of my lessons so I don't have to leave her!

I remember leaving my son for the first time to get my hair done he must have been around 6 weeks old and I felt awful. So totally understandable for you to feel this way. My son is now 5 months old and still he's only ever been apart from me for maybe and hour or two at the very most. It does get easier over time but even now if I'm away from him I'm constantly texting my hubby to check he's okay. It's just a mum thing totally natural xx

The first time will always be hard no matter how old your baby is. It will get easier each time you leave her x

Im self employed so was leaving her from around 4 weeks for like 6 hours at a time, she had her first over night stay with her gran at 6 weeks and she was absolutely fine! Xx

You leave them when you feel comfortable in doing so there is no right or wrong answer x

I think the first time was roughly around 8 weeks for two hours whilst I got my nails done. I was breastfeeding at the time so it was very rough but my baby was absolutely fine.

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
