No they don’t, you’d need to buy the ready made ones for when you go into hospital

It depends on the hospital. Best to speak to your midwife and check.

Most hospitals have formula but it’s normally best to bring your own incase, my hospital has formula since bf doesn’t always work, and they wouldn’t want a baby to go hungry. My midwife said if I’m planning on bf then not to take any and the hospital will supply baby with formula but if I’m planning on bottle feeds then they won’t supply it because they only have formula for babies who are hungry and if you’re planning on bottles then go get yourself a starter pack from boots get the one with the bottles with teats xx

They only give formula if it is medically necessary (i.e. if babys blood sugars are low). Most babies loose a bit of weight in the first few days as a mothers milk is coming in. Nature has planned for this and baby is able to cope - their stomaches are teeny tiny. But if you are worried you can of course bring your own formula. X

Yes

I needed a top up of formula as breastfeeding was not working and they gave me some formula milk

I'm intending to breastfeed but have packed a starter pack of ready made bottles just in case xx

Check with your hospital if it has a milk bank, ours does but I know not all do! X

I was in hospital for 2 days, planned on breastfeeding but on the second night baby wasn't latching and getting upset (plus I was exhausted) they gave me a small bottle of formula to give her (I think it was only 100mls) as a top up so they do have some available if you have issues with breadt feeding!
