What is the best thing to help soothe babies at night.
My partner and I both work and need to get decent amounts of sleep but are unable to when our newborn cries through the night.
I’ve tried to feed her before bed and change her nappy but she’s up within 2 hours with a full nappy and practically starving.
I’m just getting really stressed out that I’m not looking after her properly…

a newborn baby waking up every two hours is pretty normal 🙈

I’ve found contact naps soothe my baby and just recently bought a galaxy light projector off Amazon which my baby seems to love looking at and definitely calms him down x

I would say that sounds pretty normal, if formula fed they can go a few hours between feeding but if bf it will naturally be more frequent/demanding as they don’t get as much in one go. You could also try white noise for babies as it can mimic their sounds from the womb and be a nice comfort for her, it helped for us! They have lots of playlists on Spotify etc or you can buy a white noise machine

Waking every 2 hours is so normal and actually a good stretch for a newborn. My 1st was up every hour and would take forever to go back to sleep. Newborns don't even know the difference between day and night, I think you need to lower your expectations.
