I’m almost 19 weeks and bleeding. It’s period like blood in color, not heavy, but moderate to mild. I got checked the first day it happened and everything looked A-okay! Also, no cramping or pain at all!
Now two days later, I’m having some again. My doctor said if it’s more and painful then go to the ER. But again, it’s not heavy nor painful.
Has anyone else experienced this??

I had this and I had a subchorionic hematoma that was bleeding. It eventually healed on its own and baby is ok 👍🏼

Have you had a recent ultrasound? You could also have placenta previa. It generally resolves on its own buy has the potential to cause complications

So I ended up going to the ER, and do have a hematoma due to some placenta damage! I knew something was off, so glad I went.

Oh wow. Not good your doctors just fobbed you off. My first thought was you should get further checked out if you're bleeding half way through your pregnancy.

when I went in the first time and saw my ObGyn, she did a vaginal swab and ultrasound. She was searching for a hematoma but didn’t see one. I’m assuming it may have been very small at that time?
When I went to the ER two days later, they did another ultrasound where the sonographer called another sonographer in to get confirmation that what she was seeing was in fact a hematoma. I guess because it is small, she wasn’t sure?
Not sure 😅

so after it healed, you had no further complications during your pregnancy?
Do you know what may have caused it?
How long did it take to heal?
Also, did they deem you were a low or high risk pregnancy?

I’ve had no further complications so far. No clue what caused it but it healed in a few weeks. I’m a low risk pregnancy still.

so great to hear! Take care!

did you have placenta previa? Yday was my 20 week ultrasound and just the tip of of my placenta is touching the cervix.

yes, I had a complete placenta previa. It had moved with room to spare by my follow up scam at 28 weeks and I went on to have a wonderful unmedicated delivery ( almost 2 weeks past her due date lol). I was told pelvic rest and they scared the crap out if me but after doing a lot of my own research I ignored the pelvic rest and had faith that the chances were really good that it would move out of way. If just the tip of your placenta is covering you probably don't have to worry at all
