I'm 37 weeks along and I went for a scan, where I was told that the baby is sitting up and that I wouldn't be able to give birth with him like that.
They said that they could turn the baby while it was still inside my tummy. I have persons in my family who have told me that it's very painful.
I wanted to opt for normal labour. But I'm really scared that they'll try to turn the baby and I'll be in a lot of pain.
I realise that every experience is different. But can anyone who's done it tell me if it's really that painful? Or if it only hurts in the moment?

My mum always said it was painful, I’m pretty sure they can give you gas and air when they do it xx

Another thing is it doesn’t always work, you could always try if it gets too painful ask them to stop

I've never had it done but I have done several! They're generally really well tolerated. If it's painful they'll stop. It doesn't cause ongoing pain, just at the time it's being done. Most women say it's a lot of pressure but nothing else.
